Page City was established by the Swedish Town
Site Company in 1884. The original purpose of the town was a station on the
Union Pacific Railroad and was considered to be a "Boom Town" in the
early 1890s. Novelist George R. Stewart (1895 - 1980) used Page City in
his work as a American Toponymist. |
