NOTICE
Pursuant to K.S.A. 80-1202, K.S.A 80-1208, and Logan County resolution, landowners are responsible for the management and eradication of black tailed prairie dog populations on lands under their ownership and control. Notice is hereby given that in February, 2021 the Logan Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) adopted as ordinance the Black-Tailed Prairie Dog Health, Safety and Management Plan which provides the protocols, procedures, and notification requirements that in the event a landowner is unwilling or unable to perform their black tailed prairie dog control responsibilities, the county, after notice, has the statutory authority to enter private lands and eradicate uncontrolled Black-Tailed Prairie dog populations at the owners expense.
