The City of Oakley, KS is accepting applications for Communications Officer.  This is a full time position with a great benefit package, valued at over $25,000, which includes: KPERS retirement, paid full family insurance, dental, sick leave, holiday pay, and vacation.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:

Non certified starting salary is $13.50/hr, salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Must be a United States Citizen, 18 years old by the time of hire, High School diploma or GED required.  Must pass an extensive background check, interview board, and drug screen. Must not have been charged or convicted of domestic violence, no felony convictions(s), including any felony conviction(s) that have been expunged.

Police Officer, Oakley Police Department

The City of Oakley, KS is accepting applications for Police Officer.  This is  a full time position with a great benefit package, valued at over $25,000, which includes: KPERS retirement, paid full family insurance, dental, sick leave, holiday pay, vacation, and all equipment supplied with the exception of boots. 

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:

Non certified starting salary is $14.95/hr. with increase upon KLETC certification.

Kansas Certified salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Must be a United States Citizen, 21 years old by the time of hire, High School diploma or GED, satisfy all requirements as set forth in K.S.A. 74-5605, have or be able to obtain a valid Kansas driver's license, must pass an extensive background check, interview board, psychological test, and drug screen. Must not have been charged or convicted of domestic violence, no felony convictions(s), including any felony conviction(s) that have been expunged.  Kansas Certification is preferred.
