Assistant Police Chief
The City of Oakley is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Police Chief.  

Oakley has a population of 2,098 and is located at the junction of I-70, Hwy 40 and Hwy 83 in western Kansas.  Responsibilities include supervision of the City's Police Department that consists of 6 sworn officers, 5 dispatchers and the Communications Center that is the 911 center for Logan and Gove Counties.  

The ideal applicant will have at least six years of law enforcement experience, with one or more years of supervisory experience.  A college degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred.  

Competitive benefits including: KPERS retirement and paid full family health insurance.

Wage range: $16.69 to $24.00/hr.
